No account
ListToDish has no sign-up. Your recipes, weekly menus, grocery lists and answers (household size, ZIP code, budget, allergies, diet, cooking time, kitchen equipment) are stored only on your iPhone. Delete all data in Settings removes them.
What leaves your iPhone when you import a recipe
- The link you share or the caption you paste is sent to our import service, which reads the public caption or recipe page. When the caption is free text, the service sends that text to an AI model provider (Anthropic) to copy out the ingredient lines and steps. Our service does not store the link, the caption or the recipe after answering.
- The first time you import, the app asks before anything is sent, naming Anthropic and what goes to it. Nothing is sent until you tap “Allow”; “Not now” sends nothing. You can turn it off in Settings › AI recipe reading. Don’t paste personal information into a caption.
- To limit free imports, the service keeps a count of imports per device, keyed by an Apple App Attest key that is created for this app on your device. For subscribers it keeps a count per subscription, keyed by the subscription's transaction ID, to apply the daily limit. These counts are not linked to your name, email or any account.
What we don't do
No analytics, ads, tracking or crash-reporting tools. We don't download videos or images from the platforms you share from. We don't sell or share data with anyone else.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We receive a signed transaction from Apple only to check that a subscription is active.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules one reminder on your iPhone two days before a free trial ends. Nothing is sent from our servers.
